Toyota Motor Manufacturing-Kentucky
Tourism Campaign
In 1986, Toyota opened their first American manufacturing plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. From the first American-made Camry to the first American-made Lexus, Toyota Kentucky has been making history for 30 years. In that time the Georgetown plant has grown to become the largest Toyota plant in the world.
Our challenge was to create a campaign that would appeal to many different people, from school kids to business groups to those simply curious about Toyota and automotive manufacturing. The main goal was to increase tour sign ups at the Toyota plant but also to get people excited about the manufacturing process and the future of Toyota.
Lexus 2 Kentucky
In the spring of 1988, Kentucky celebrated a manufacturing milestone as America’s first Toyota plant made its first car.
Twenty-seven years later, they made history once again with the addition of America’s first Lexus production line.
